I'm again, very behind on posting to the blog and hopefully will post some pictures of the past month that included a trip to Lawrence, Mother's day & many park outings! We're getting ready for the new baby, which is easier the 2nd time around. All the baby clothes are washed (was Elliot ever really this small) and put away, we have the hospital bag & Elliot's bag all packed for the big day, our freezer/pantry is pretty well stocked, and surprisingly our house has never been cleaner (thanks to Brad & Elliot getting a cleaning service for me for Mother's Day - BEST gift ever!) Other than that, I'm enjoying the one on one time I have left with Elliot. In a way, it makes me sad to think this time is coming to an end, but I know this new baby will be an instant part of our family and Elliot will really love his new role as big brother.
Elliot just turned 15 months and is really becoming such a little boy! He is becoming quite the independent little person - refusing to hold my hand when he's walking, feeding himself with his spoon (and not making a huge mess :), playing for longer periods by himself, and looking at books alone. He is also learning to put his toys away and is very into emptying the silverware in the dishwasher! Even though he is finding his independent streak, he still enjoys cuddling, hugging, and spending time with Mommy & Daddy and playing with his friends. At his 15 month appointment Elliot stats were as follows:
Height: 31 3/4 in
Weight: 23 lbs, 12 oz
Head Circumference : 48 cm

On the same day that Elliot turned 15 months, I/the baby was 36 weeks along. This pregnancy has gone by fast and feels so different from the first time. I have found it interesting how differently this baby moves and it makes me realize, that this little one is going to have it's own personality. This seems pretty obvious, but I find it amazing that these different traits start before birth. I've been having some serious back trouble over the past few weeks, but thanks to my amazing chiropractor and the baby moving a bit, I can walk & move without sharp pain! Yay!
So now we are just waiting, though enjoying our last few weeks as a family of 3. Elliot came 10 days early, so it is hard for me to think that this baby will be anything but early, but you never know. My guess for the due date is June 2nd & I think we are having a boy. Brad thinks a girl. And Elliot would like another kitty. If you want to add your predictions, take our poll or leave a comment!
